This project is easy to create – your sewing skills won’t be put to the test here – and requires the use of very little fabric. It will take you less than an hour to create a set of napkin rings for six place settings.Material: ruler, fabric pencil, designer Felt, scissors, needle, thread, buttonStep 1Using a ruler and a fabric pencil, measure and mark a 1½" x 22" strip on the felt. Cut out the strip using scissors.Step 2Fold over one end of the strip about 1½" and make a ½" incision to form the hole for the button (these measurements are for a 1" button).Step 3With a needle and thread, handstitch the button to the felt strip 7" in from the end with the button hole. To form the napkin ring, take the end of the felt strip without the button hole, wrap it around thenapkin several times, then feed the button through the hole.
